Frequently Asked Questions

When people patronize autobody shops, they usually have many questions prior, during and after their experience. At Emerson Auto Body, we want to help you to be as knowledgeable as possible, and try to reduce the amount of questions you may have about us, your car, services offered, and the insurance process.

Frequently asked questions:

What are the hours of operation?

Emerson Auto Body is open Monday through Friday, 7:30 am until 4:30 pm.

Do we need an appointment for an estimate?

No, but it would be helpful if prior arrangements were made in advance.

How long does it take to repair the car?

This is not an easy answer, since it depends on the severity of the damage to the car. The staff estimator will diagnose the car and give an aproximate time to repair your vehicle.

Is there a guarantee on the work performed on the car?

YES! All work is guaranteed for as long as you own your car.

Do you have a tow truck or service we can call?

YES! We have a service standing by 24 hours 7 days a week. In case of an accident, customers can call us. If help is needed after hours or on the weekend, please call the hotline number at 201-261-8166.

What if my car is totaled?

Once an insurance company assesses the damage, and determines that the vehicle will be totaled, they will notify the customer and make the necessary arrangements to pick up the car. The insurance company will take care of any charges due to the repair shop on a one to one dealing.

Where are you located? Is there public transportation nearby?

Emerson Auto Body is conveniently located in the center of town, just off of Kinderkamack Road , behind Kuiken Lumber. We are within walking distance of the bus and NJ Transit train station. Click here if you need driving directions.

Where do I leave my keys?

There is a safe key drop located on the left side of the property on the fence, if you should ever need to drop off the car after hours.

How safe is the lot the cars are kept in?

Every night the cars are locked behind secured metal gates and the area is patrolled by the local police department. Also a full security camera system.

How can I determine the value of my car?

If you are curious about the fair market value of your car, Kelly Blue Book is an excellent resource. Please keep in mind that this is only a guideline.
